1m Channel Drain with Galvanised Steel Grate (125 x 80mm): key details

This interlocking channel drain collects surface water from hard landscaping and carries it to your drainage system, stopping puddles and protecting walls and doorways from standing water. Lengths join end to end, so you can build a run to suit your space.

Where to use it

Use it across patios, paths, courtyards and paved areas. For driveways and vehicle areas, use a channel rated B125 or higher.

How to install a channel drain

  1. Plan the run and the outlet point, and give the run a slight fall towards the outlet.
  2. Dig a trench about 100mm wider and 100–150mm deeper than the channel.
  3. Lay a concrete bed, set the channels on it and connect the outlet to your drainage pipe.
  4. Haunch concrete along both sides, then lay the paving so it finishes 3–5mm above the grate.
  5. Leave the grates in place while you work so the channels keep their shape.

Frequently asked questions

Can I drive over this channel drain?
Check the load rating before using it where vehicles will cross. Driveways need a B125 channel or higher.

How do I connect it to the drain?
Use a TITAN outlet connector, outlet end cap or inspection box at the low point of the run and connect it to your underground pipe or soakaway.

How many do I need?
Measure the length you want to drain and divide by the channel length (1m). Add end caps, corners and an outlet to finish the run.
