Resin drainage channels are lighter than concrete, strong and frost-resistant, and the shallow 40mm depth means less digging. Lengths join end to end, so you can build a run to suit your space.
Where to use it
Rated EN Class A15, it is designed for patios, garden paths, courtyards and the edges of paved areas used by pedestrians. For driveways and vehicle areas, use a channel rated B125 or higher.
How to install a channel drain
- Plan the run and the outlet point, and give the run a slight fall towards the outlet.
- Dig a trench about 100mm wider and 100mm deeper than the channel.
- Lay a concrete bed, set the channels on it and connect the outlet to your drainage pipe.
- Haunch concrete along both sides, then lay the paving so it finishes 3–5mm above the grate.
- Leave the grates in place while you work so the channels keep their shape.
Frequently asked questions
Can I drive over this channel drain?
No. Class A15 is for pedestrian areas only. Driveways need B125 or higher.
How do I connect it to the drain?
Fit an outlet at the low point of the run and connect it to your underground pipe or soakaway.
How many do I need?
Measure the length you want to drain and divide by the channel length (600mm). Add end caps, corners and an outlet to finish the run.
